| The House of the Samurai was founded in 1974 by its Director, Mr. Richie Bernard, and has been serving the local community for over thirty years. We offer personalized, family-style instruction for men, women and children under optimum conditions in our 5,000 square foot, custom designed, Okinawan/Japanese Dojo (Training Hall). Our curriculum conforms to the highest standards of excellence and is internationally licensed by the Japanese Ministry of Education. In fact, the House of the Samurai is one of the few schools outside of Okinawa and Japan to receive this level of accreditation. Currently, we have over 100 active Black Belts in our schools, and our in-house instructors have over 200 years of combined experience in traditional martial arts. Experts agree that each step in a child's development is critical and that a child's emotional well-being is profoundly affected by their parents, teachers, peers and environment. The House of the Samurai works together with students, their families and the community to foster positive values both inside and outside the Dojo. Before you register your child, or yourself, with just any Martial Arts school, make an appointment to talk with us. | |||
